Nothing beats a sunny Sunday, pottering around a coastal town and nosing about for vintage finds. Margate is perfect for this. We live only twenty minutes away and like to visit often, as there’s always something interesting to do – with the addition of The Turner Contemporary if it’s raining or the beach if it’s sunny. Two favourite vintage shops are Dolly Miller’s and Frocks ‘n’ Stock, both located in the Old Town.
I particularly like Frocks ‘n’ Stock, a fantastic Pilgrims Hospice charity shop, which handpicks the best vintage finds that have been donated locally. It’s such a great thought out charity shop and is displayed beautifully, as you can see from the images below. There is also a really good selection of vintage haberdashery.
And of course, no Sunday pottering is complete without a stop off at a local cafe for a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake. Bliss!
You can find Frocks ‘n’ Stock Pilgrims Hospice shop at 9 Market Street, Margate, Kent CT9 1EU. Tel: 01843 449458
